Recon Report - Open Season Sportsman Expo
The Iron Soldiers Coffee Company rolled into Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin for the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo ready to serve up fresh roast coffee and share our mission—and the reception did not disappoint. Hosted at the impressive Kalahari Resorts, the event offered everything under one roof, from a spacious conference center to great restaurants and lodging, making it an ideal setting for a packed three-day show. From the moment the doors opened, the energy was strong and the crowd steady, with thousands of attendees passing through and discovering what Iron Soldiers Coffee Company is all about.
We were proud to share booth space with our partners at Trekin Outdoors, who were showcasing their Trekin Maps. It was a great pairing—mapping the outdoors while fueling the journey. Throughout the weekend, we kept the coffee brewing and the conversations flowing. There’s nothing better than handing someone a fresh cup of specialty-grade, roast-to-order coffee and telling them the story behind it—how every bag supports veterans and helps keep WWII history alive. Those conversations turned into meaningful connections, and we walked away with a strong list of new contacts and opportunities.
One standout, once again, was our Liberty Peach Glaze BBQ Sauce. It quickly became a crowd favorite, with many coming back for more after their first taste. Seeing people light up when they try our products—whether it’s coffee or BBQ—is exactly why we do what we do. It’s not just about great flavor; it’s about delivering something memorable with a purpose behind it.
All in all, the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo in Wisconsin Dells was a major success. The booth space was excellent, the turnout was strong, and the opportunity to introduce thousands of new people to our brand and mission made the trip more than worthwhile. We’re grateful for the partnership with Trekin Outdoors, the hospitality of the Kalahari Resorts, and everyone who stopped by to share a cup, a story, and a moment with us.
