Coffee, Camaraderie, and the Texas Outdoors

Iron Soldiers Coffee Company at B-Tex Ranch with Trekin Outdoors

There’s something special about early mornings at B-Tex Ranch. Before the sun crests the horizon and the Texas air starts to warm, the day begins the same way it has for generations of outdoorsmen—quiet conversations, shared anticipation, and a strong cup of coffee.

Iron Soldiers Coffee Company was honored to spend several days at B-Tex Ranch alongside Trekin Outdoors, serving fresh, specialty-grade coffee to hunters from across the country. Those days were filled with success in the field, and every hunter walked away with a story worth telling. From pre-dawn wake-ups to mid-day resets and evening wind-downs, our coffee fueled long days, steady focus, and the moments in between.

The mornings were cold—the kind that bites just enough to remind you you’re alive. Steam rose from coffee mugs as hunters layered up, checked gear, and talked through the plan for the day. Coffee wasn’t just a comfort; it was part of the routine, warming hands and setting the tone before heading out.

For us, this wasn’t just about serving coffee—it was about community. Hunters gathered around our setup swapping stories, talking gear, and sharing laughs while warming their hands around a mug. Those moments echo the same camaraderie found in military units, hunting camps, and small-town cafés—places where bonds are built and traditions are passed down.

Every batch of Iron Soldiers Coffee is roasted to order, and bringing it directly to the ranch allowed us to share not just great coffee, but the mission behind it. Our brand is rooted in honoring service, preserving history, and supporting those who’ve worn the uniform. Being at B-Tex Ranch with Trekin Outdoors gave us the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who value grit, discipline, and respect for the outdoors.

As the sun set, the ranch took on a different rhythm. Evenings were welcomed around the firepits, where the chill returned and the day’s stories came out in full force. The B-Tex Ranch staff outdid themselves, preparing exceptional meals that brought everyone together. Good food, open flames, and tired smiles created the kind of atmosphere you can’t manufacture—it has to be earned through shared experience.

What stood out most wasn’t just the successful hunts, but the people. Over the course of a few days, strangers became friends. Conversations turned into laughter, contacts were exchanged, and plans were already being made for future gatherings. That sense of camaraderie—built on respect, shared effort, and time spent outdoors—mirrors the same values Iron Soldiers Coffee Company was founded on.

Adding to the experience was our 1943 WC-54 military ambulance, which made the trip to the ranch and remained on display throughout the event. More than just a vehicle, it became a gathering point. Time was spent inside and around it as history was discussed, questions were asked, and stories were shared about the men and women who once relied on machines like it during World War II.

True to its purpose, the WC-54 didn’t just sit still. After hunters returned from the blinds, it took a trip down the gravel road—loaded up with the hunters—turning a simple ride into a rolling history lesson and a moment few will forget. It was a powerful reminder that preserving history means letting people experience it, not just look at it.

We’re grateful to Trekin Outdoors for the invitation and to the entire B-Tex Ranch team for their hospitality. Most of all, thank you to the hunters who stopped by, grabbed a cup, and took a moment to share their stories with us. It’s experiences like these that remind us why we do what we do.

Whether it’s before a hunt, at the range, or around the campfire, Iron Soldiers Coffee Company is proud to be part of the moments that matter.

Brew strong. Stand proud. Keep history alive!
